Acer Aspire 7520 OS Vista

My acer notebook is about 9 months and has turned really slow. i think it needs to be seriously cleaned up. I have done scans using Macaffee, windows defender, disk defrag, and clean up. But nothing seems to help the speed.
Does anyone know what i could do. on other sites said about using the eRecovery but not 100% on using it.. any help to get my laptop back to its original state would be helpful thanks

64X2 dual core processor with 1 gb ram. 32bit os vista

First check with malwarebytes, for malware.

Take the memory diagnostic test to make sure memory is ok. 1GB is never going to be enough.

Go to search type cmd, then right clikc do not hit enter. In CMD type sfc /scannow. Any small corruption will be fixed.

In the device manager make sure that all drivers are ok. You will see a yellow warning marker by any defective drivers.

Make sure your drivers are up to date

Shut off you A/V If it runs faster, dump it and get MSE Microsoft Security Essentials.

Then come back and report.

should be able to reboot and start tapping the f10 key to enter the recovery partition...

you will lose all data and installed programs

just in case the f10 key isn't the one...

not if you use the recovery partition, its all automatic.
