Windows vista profile log on error

Hello vista fourums, well im not smart with computers so i need help with this problem starting from this a couple nights ago once my pc logged on with differnt settings and it had something in a little box in the right hand corner of the screen with profile couldnt be loaded or something now it when i go into C/Users/ it still has my user pc which it normally starts the pc with, but also just today when i went into C/Users cause the same error has occured and now it will not go away, but it had a folder called TEMP created this day on the time i started up my pc. im not sure whats going on i already looked at some of the guides they do not make any sense to me. im really worried and i do not wish to reinstall any thing that is on my computer. this temp that it has started up with still has some of the programs or more the less all of them that are from my main pc user thing. I have not manually deleted the user or any one that has used the pc even knows how to so what could this problem be. Please i would really really appreciate it if someone could help me in a way that is under standable
