Logical disk D low amount free space

My Factory Image D has only 1.52 GB free space, of 12.9 GB. I have an HP Pavilion with Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit.

What can I do, when I go to D I get the Warning message:
"This area of your hard drive
(or partition) contains files used
for your PC Recovery.

Do not delete or alter these files.

Any change to this partition could
prevent any recovery later."

I wil appreciate any help.

**I also want to wholeheartedly thank the posting that helped me last Saturday when I couldn't login, the step by step instructions/information were GREAT!

I am afraid that I do not fully understand your question. That D partition should not be touched. If you have a problem with your computer, there are keys (usually f keys) that you push during boot up, to restore to factory specs. It should be used only in dire circumstances.

I began by saying I did not quite understand. If you care to elaborate further, maybe I can give further assistance.

Should I try to do a Disk Cleanup or use the F buttons at boot up, if I do the latter one will i loose folders and files?
Thanks,
