Windows DVD Maker Cant Burn DVD

I have been having issues with Windows DVD Maker lately. I was able to burn 10 DVDs...of the same spindle I am now and now I cant get it to burn one. I have tried in Both Vista and Windows 7 and both say unable to burn dvd. I updated all drivers on both OS's, BIOS updates, firmware updates, no viruses to speak of(MSE).

I have issues sometimes with burning DVDs lately. Can the disks be damaged? I am not sure.

Contacted HP support and they are saying the drive isnt bad. I can watch movies and play games without any problems.

Also the file types are WMV. I stream the vids to my xbox 360 and I have them as that files type for the xbox to play it. Is this causing a problem.

Thanks in advance.
