Hi

My father in law is currently running vista home premium 64 bit. He has recently noticed ( but it could have been there all the time) that the "recently changed folder is full of random pictures which have appeared from the internet (thousands of files). The pictures range from things like ladies handbags and shoes to celebrity pictures to recent news pictures. Is this normal or is it likely that a programme has found its way onto his computer which is causing the computer to download pictures etc with a view to overloading his system.

Help is greatly appreciated.

Looks like he has a virus. Install these programs and run them. THESE ARE ALL AVAILABLE FOR FREE ONLINE.

-Norton HijackThis
-SUPER AntiSpyware
-Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
-Trend Micro House Call

All these programs helped me when I got viruses. Good luck!

Not a virus. I even found posts by Microsoft experts suggesting this.
I discovered exactly the same pictures on Bing. If you remove the Bing toolbar all the images go away.
