Post some system specs and we can decide from there. In the tutorials section there is a tutorial on how to increase the performance of Vista by changing OS settings.
Attempt a defrag.
Defrag the registry.
Make sure you are Virus Free.
Those are the otherwise easy steps to increase your speed.
