HP vista is a mess,need help

hi guys i have a question...
like a year ago my sister bought a HP vista..antivirus expired,and she continued using it,,plus makde some errors in apps.uninstalling etc..
she didn't burn a copy of D partition ..D partition still exist..pc came without dvd's reinstallation.
--i do xp-pro...and what i like to os as follows..

-i wanto to wipe off hard drive using killdisk app. EXCEPT partition D [hard drive 160 gigs]

-then i want to reinstall vista operating system to new-fresh install..

PLEASE...PROVIDE ME THE STEPS....on how to do it please..

Try this:
Reboot
When the blue HP screen comes up, press F10 (restore)
Follow the directions

This is assuming D: is still the restore disk. Also they might have changed the restore key. Look on the bottom of the screen. Should be: ESC-boot menu...F1-setup....F10-restore.

Note: this will erase EVERYTHING on C:

Just 1 I think, but a ton of updates. Not to mention all the updates from HP.
