Not sure the best forum to post this, so I'm starting here. I have an
intermittent problem that is driving me bonkers. Hopefully someone can provide me advice on what I need to do. Here is the situation.
When I boot up, I get the single beep after POST and then I get DMI Pool Verification and then a return with a blinking cursor. Windows never starts. I rebooted and went into the BIOS. Checked and made sure that it is set to boot from hard drive and it is. I then checked the hard drive boot priority and the wrong hard drive (I have three) is at the top of the sequence. The drive with Windows on it shows up as the third drive in the sequence, so Windows is not starting because the boot drive is not being accessed. I move the boot drive to the top of the list, save it and exit the BIOS and Windows boots. The sysytem will work properly for several start-ups and then I get the blinking cursor after DMI Pool Verification. Each time this happens, I go into BIOS and the Boot Priority has changed again.
I using a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS$ mother board. Any insight and/or suggestions woul be appreciated.
