Vista 64 bit wont install

i tried to install vista 64 bit premium on to my gateway m1634u laptop. my computer says the installation couldnt not be compeleted because of my hardware. then shut the system off. the computer came with that OS on it. so i dont understand why it says that. if anyone has any ideas plz message me or post them.
i appericate all the help guyz and ladys.

Are you sure it was 64bit originally ? ?
This is the only reason i can think of why it would not take...

o yeah i bought it from gateway. it finally took the oS. but now my wireless reltrek card doesnt want to work, i cant even see it in device manager. all its says is network controller, with yellow question mark. mhm its internal too. soo any ideas.
took the OS after 6 times of loading it!!!!!:mad:

Installing the latest Marvel wireless driver from the Gateway link below for your notebook for this may be able to get it working for you. If you are missing any other drivers, you can get them from the link below as well.
