cpu shutdown question

is it better to shut your computer off at night, somebody told me that it takes alot for your computer to power up after its been off for a few hours, he also said that its ok to only shut it off like once a week i just wanna know everybodies thoughts thanx......:devil:

i'd go for sleeping (Start orb, right arrow twice and choose sleep). doesn't make a sound at night, only a orange (or any :p) light will blink. it also takes you straight to the logon screen or otherwise the desktop, if you don't have a password.
shutting down is just a slow way to turn the computer off without it making any noise : sleeping is the same thing but you only have a blinking light and a faster boot up.
and btw, cpu stands for Central Processing Unit, or processor, not for ComPUter.

go into bios and disable the "wake by usb device" or something similarly named. your keyboard or mouse is probably waking the computer.
