Ok so i have an HP a1730n desktop. I was having all sorts of little problems with it so i decided to use the factory disks to reset the computer back to ground zero.
Now the problem is after going through both disk 1 and 2, it moves on to a dos screen that says:
Administrator: x:\windows\ system32\mcd.exe (at the top of the screen)
below it sas that
volume 5 is slelected volume.
deskpart marked the current partition as active.
leaving kiskpart...
x:\MAESTRO_TMP>
PLEASE HELP. I CANT GET VISTA TO LOAD.. I'VE BEEN DEALIGN WITH THIS FOR SEVERAL HOURS NOW.. PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP?

EDIT:
30 MIN LATERISH - Ok so i decided to try one more thing. I had already removed my newer vid card; so since nothing else was working i unpluged my internal 1tb hard drive, which i had installed a few months ago. needless to say it worked. i hope this in some way might help someone else out too.
my only thought now is: how can i have my new 1tb hard drive and new vid card installed and be able to make all of this work the way it was supposed to in the first place? any thoughts??????????
