Hello, I just installed Vista Home Premium on my desktop pc and there is a weird problem.
The screen will flicker only towards the bottom of the screen whenever you open an application. Here is a video:
Imageshack - dscf0249
I tried setting the refresh rate of the monitor to 75, still flickers, I update the graphics card also. Any idea on what the problem is? Thanks

What type/ brand of monitor are you using? What Type of display adapter?
It could be that if you have an older monitor with a newer graphics card, the refresh rate will be much lower, as well as the overall resolution. Or you just have a loose connection. Happens.

Hi Bl4z3 and welcome to Vista Forums

Some specifications would be useful. What is the make and model number of your monitor? Which graphics card are you using? Again, the model number will be useful. If an LCD monitor, are you using the native resolution and refresh rate? It could be that you need to update your drivers both for the graphics card and for the monitor. Additionally, you may need to upgrade your motherboard drivers.

Model # for the monitor: Gateway FPD1975W TFT LCD Monitor. Here is the specs for the graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 6100. I'm using a VGA display adapter. I updated the monitor driver and the graphics card driver, still flickers :( I never tried updating the mother board drivers though..
