I had purchased the present Dell Laptop almost one year ago with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit pre-installed. If I upgrade to Windows 7 will there be any discount? (I am in Japan and OS is in Japanese.)

I would ask on a Japanese Forum. They probably know better than us what`s going on in Japan. But in the US there would be no discount - as Blackhawk says. You can try to get away with an OEM or upgrade version. That`s usually the cheapest.
