For those who have found that they can no longer print to a pdf file after a Windows or Acrobat update, check the port at Start>Printers>Ports. I found that an update had assigned a new communications port which caused printing to an Acrobat PDF to fail.
The solution was to re-check the "Documents\*.pdf" port in the port list.
