Strange Icon on Taskbar - black box with 9

I am not sure it has been always there or not but I noticed a strange looking black box with a number 9 on my taskbar (I have Windows Vista Home version).

I clicked on it but nothing happens. I went into the Taskbar property and it shows the blackbox with the number 9 in it but it has no info.

Has anyone seen that before?
How can I find out what kind of program this is?

Any suggestion?

I want to stop this program but I have no idea what this program is.

It's a blackbox and number 9 is written in white.

What is a speedfan cpu monitor?

Also, when I click on it, nothing happens. If this is a legit program, why would nothing happen? I am very very curious. Could this be some sort of spyware?

I am having the same issue but it's on a Win 7 64 bit system.

If I right click on it, it does nothing, double click does nothing.

I sure don't remember it being there last week.

Do an antivirus check and download and use malwarebytes to check for malware. If it is still there, post your problem in a new thread to avoid confusion. You will, then receive our full attention.
