Scanning from printer

This is how I do a scan. See if these steps work for you:

Scanning with WINDOWS PHOTO GALLERY -

First, turn on printer and connect USB cord to computer.

Place document in printer FLATBED, back-side up. (On MY printer, you have to keep the printer set to “copy” NOT “scan.”)

Go to Start, All Programs

Click Windows Photo Gallery

Click File, and then click Import From Scanner or Camera

Set parameters: photo or documents, feeder or flatbed, color, gray scale or b - w, type of file. Optional - click PREVIEW to check image, and adjust as necessary

Click Import

Click. Scan

When “tag” (file name) comes up in Scan box, fill in the file name, and save to exact file location you wish.
