Is it okay to manually delete any uninstalled software from HKCU\Software in the registry? Some programs leave a lot of keys their after being uninstalled but I want to make sure it won't break anything.

Hello Marty,

I would recommend to create a restore point to be safe, but it should be fine since the program is uninstalled. These will most likely just be user settings left in case you reinstall the program to have them back.

i know this is solved, but there is an app i use called revo uninstaller that when run on the advanced setting, will search the registry and allow you to select whether or not you want to delete those entries.
