mp11 not playing dvd's

Hello,
I have just installed vista home premium 32bit including sp2.The problem is that media player won't play any dvd's.This is the error report:

If I manually select dvd files from within media player then it will play them.
Media center does not have this problem.

Hi snook,
In device manager uninstall DVD device driver and reboot. System will find the driver for it.
If that doesn't help, follow this Tutorial:

Hello,
Thank's brummyfan for the reply.The first option didnt work,couldnt get on with the other one,so I tried the 'check for solution's' again.Downloaded these update's:

silicon image sil 3132 satalink
nforce hypertransport bridge
nforce memory controller
atk0110 acpi utility, (which gave me all sort's of problem's)
and finally
asus cool 'n' quiet v21706.
This last one seem's to have fixed the acpi problem's and media player
which is now working properly.
