Solved disabling usb port only for usb storage

hi
i am using windows XP and i want to disable the usb port (i dont want it to detect flash memories or external storage devices) but at the same time i want it to detect the usb printer, so i cant totally disable the usb port...
is there a way for this, please help fast and urgent!!

I dont know of any way to selectively dis able usb ports by device type. If it isw for security you could disable all the ports but the printer port and lock it.

I think you might want to take a look at Port Control, this enable you to manage all ports on a PC how you are describing

I got it..... its in registry..... go to regedit. there is options available,,,,,,,,,,,
