Hello,
I have this problem with com1 port and my device manager saying the device is working properly (see attachment Device Manager Com1.jpg).
Problem occurs when I'm using third party program call controll.exe a popup window will says C:\Users\Nacos\Desktop\CONTROLL.exe Driver does not support selected Baud Rate (2400) Choose 'Close" to terminate the application. (for detail see attachment 16 bit MS-DOSs Subsystem Error.jpg).
I also cannot used the HyperTerminal due to unable to open COM1 (see attachment HyperTerminal - Unable to open Com1.jpg).
FYI: I'm Using Vista Business Service Pack 2 and my System information as follow:
