64bit SQL Server Exp 2005sp3 get win32 error

I am runnig Vista 64bit Ultimate and I am trying to install and configure a Named Instance of SQL Server Express 2005 64 bit as is required by an app I need to run. However, I have installed the SQL 64 and am now trying to install the Sp3 (file name SQLServer2005SP3-KB955706-x64-ENU) but I keep getting the error that the file is "not a valid win32 application" What gives? I have made sure that I only have the 64bit files as part of the install Or at least the files that I have downloaded all have 64bit as part of the filename. Help.

is sp3 from a dvd or download?

is it possible that the download didnt complete? often if a file doesnt close in the dl you get a not a valid application. There is often another file with the same name.part1 in the dl folder.

You might just want to download it again. You caould also check the hash values to see if the current dl is exactly the same as the one on MS

I am checking to make sure that the SQL shows 64bit.
