help! installed program and things have gone wrong

help!! i have installed litestep, didn't like it, so i pressed uninstall. nothin happened.i decided to reboot, did so, and when i log in, it shows My Computer in explorer! i thought it was just meant to be the desktop starting, not explorer. and there wsa also no taskbar anywhere. i pressed the windows button, nothin happening. anyway i tried safe mode, in which i noticed there was an exe file starting with the core drivers. that must be what is left of litestep. please help, any ideas?

hmm ok i try it hard to navigate to control panel without the start menu... i will give it a try

nope, it said 'recovered files successfully' to no avail. i restarted to the same desktop... i do not have a recovery cd as i have lost it...:(is there meant to be an executable file in the drivers list?

heh...heh.... found out that i had to click on 'set explorer as shell' and then reboot/logon again.

i think i set explorer as the shell without knowing
i tried restoring, which made me lose progress in games!
i had the explorer shell from litestep still on, so when i quit litestep, it just had a black background with nothin to access.
i pressed 'set explorer as shell' again, which stopped litestep explorer shell
i just restarted, and the default loader was back to normal.


lol i honestly thought i was doomed!
