I'm interested in building a USB HID device (something like a controller for games, or whatever). I don't care for the design atm, I'm just looking to figure out what I need in order do build such a device. I've been Googling all day, but I can't find anything that looks like English. Also, I'm hoping I don't have to read the 100 page documentation on the USB HID class standards thing...
Buttons, wires, and a USB cable. What's missing to make them send computer-readable, identifiable input? Rep to anyone who can save me some time.
