Do you have SP2 installed?
For Scanners and Camera, can you Add Device?
Check Device Manager and see if there is an exclamation point or question mark by the scanner device.
Last, but not least, there isn't a Vista driver for this device.

Do you have SP2 installed? ---> Yes.
For Scanners and Camera, can you Add Device? ---> No. It says that MTKLABA.INF is not compatible with Vista.
Check Device Manager and see if there is an exclamation point or question mark by the scanner device. ---> There is not exclamation point or question mark.
Last, but not least, there isn't a Vista driver for this device. ---> I think this looks like the cause of my problem although I can use the scanner under Vista.
