backing up WMP library , help

Can anyone here assist me in backingup this library, to a cd or USB? it doesnt have any option to help you do this... I dont know how to go about backing up WMP. My son has all his songs on it and id hate to lose them all... Im going to REFORMAT my HD and i have to get this done so i can do that... i saw in program files is WMP folder, i also saw that appdata roaming microsoft has WMP...trouble is it wont allow me access to that local setting folder.... denys me and I am the only administrator of this comp... dont get it... thats why im reformatting, ive been having trouble with drag and drop as well as copy paste, computer wont do any of those at all and ive tried EVERYTHING... i have itunes as well as rhapsody and i have to move them to a USB drive because i cant copy paste or drag drop folders..... i have cdburner because my optical drive will only let me PLAY/WATCH DVDs not record to them, so cdburner wont work cause i need more room then the 700MB that cd-r have.

anyways, back to WMP... i have vista home basic 32 bit serv pack 2... thanks

there is a page with info on backing up WMP lib's but it seems like you have many other things to backup as well.

this link you gave me is dated 2003...i right clicked on my own wmp in start, and i got this path, users nancy appdata roaming microsoft ????? but when there i didnt see anything about media player.... that 2003 article is for a different version of WMP.... and,,, when i go to users nancy appdata LOCAL , it denies me access to go any further saying i dont have permission....
