Registry key errors

Hi everyone,hope you people can help me out with this problme.
I have windows vista home premium 32bit and when I open programs it does give me errors like for windows live messenger it say could not open key when i click on the software icon.

i cannot even unistal the program,neither upgrade it.

Same thing if i try to unistall adobe reader

it does not let me unistal it.
same thing is happening with several other software.

What is the problem??

Try re-booting in safe mode and delete from cpanel. If that doesn't work it may b e a permission problem. Are you running as a standard user or admin?

yh im running it as admin and i think is a registry problem but how to solve it?

Hello Cpu, and welcome to Vista Forums.

It may be a permission issue. Using step 3 in Option Two of METHOD TWO in the tutorial below take ownership of those registry keys (left pane) and allow your user account full control of it.
