Registry Backup Settings?

Hello Everybody,
I figured I'm gonna have many questions so I signed up.
Here's my first one.
I just purchased Uniblue's Registry Booster 2009.
I ran a registry scan, and my system has over 300 errors.
I'm trying to clean it but this application says "Your system settings prohibit you from doing a registry backup" when I click the "Clean registry button."
How do I change those settings?
Can someone give me detailed instructions on how to adjust system settings to enable registry backups?

forget registry "boosters" they cause more harm than good (they dont actually do any good at all)

if you want to backup your registry hit start / programs / accessories / run

in the box type regedit and hit return

in the left pane right click my computer and select export , then pick a place to save it and give it a name this will backup your entire registry not just any changes made by "cleaning" software which is all that software will back up

to reinstall said reg save go back to regedit click file then import , select you saved file

remember though your registry is constantly changing any file over a week old will be problematic if reinstalled backup is just a precaution if doing anything risky

Or you could simply use ERUNT...Free.

And i agree about Registry cleaners...stay away from them.
