My computer will not boot. I keep getting "configuring updates 1 of 3. Do not turn off computer. It says I have an exe file corrupt. (C:\ntoskrnl.exe). What can I do? I'm in dire need of my comp. Someone please help.

If you are not able to get into safe mode, not able to go to a restore point, not able to install update (which it was trying to do), you may want to consider the following:
- Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
- Choose your language settings ,and then click "Next".
- Click "Repair your Computer".
