Solved More appearance problems.
Made a topic about .avi, .ico, etc being at the end of the names of things. Dunno if it got answered, managed to find an answer somewhere else. Anyway, ever since I got it back to normal, the views in folders keep changing randomly. In my documents I always have the view as small icons. In the computer area it used to look like
http://www.askdavetaylor.com/0-blog-pics/vista-computer-devices.png this. But now that's gone and it's just got them lined up in a single line. How can I fix it? And why do the appearances of all my folders keep changing randomly?

Ok well I fixed the appearance problem in the computer folder, but I'd still like to know why all my folders keep randomly changing. Never done this before.

Hello Arj, and welcome to Vista Forums.
It may be folder discovery changing them according to the type of files in a folder. Vista has always been buggy when it comes to folder views. The download in METHOD TWO of the tutorial below can help make it easier to reset your folder views if Vista should start forgetting you folder view settings for how a explorer window was set when last closed.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
