dvd drive problem ,,expert advise needed

my dvd drive isnt showing up in "my computer" or in my boot list in bios ..
ive tried the old trick what i had to do with xp alot where in the reg edit you delet lower and upper case entries but theres no l;ower case entrie...

i cant see it in device manager niether


but i was wondering if this was related in device manger "IDE ATA/ATAPIcontroller------then ATA Chanel 01 has explamation mark next to it is this related?

any ideas guys because i really need it.

edit- also everythings plugged in correctly

dvd drive opens and shuts but totally not recognized by pc

but no lowerfilter , i deleted the higher filter


or could it be a certain service isnt running .heres a list of services running???

Just to make sure you clear out all filters...
Try this "Auto-fix" ....It'll do the same thing ..but correct way ...

Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

fixed it .. as you can see in this picture i have 2 ATA Channel 1 View attachment 15191but only one had the explamation mark next to it so i just kept uninstalling that but the driver kept failing to reinstall itself .i just tried deleting both of the ATA Chanel 1 and both of them sucessfully reinstalled followed by automaticly recognizing my dvd drive and then installing it
