Little trouble with the names of files.

All of a sudden they all end with what they are. moviename.avi, picture.jpg, icon.ico, etc. If I go into properties and change it, it changes the file completely. It never used to do this until recently. Any ideas?

Are you asking about the file extension? Go to folder and search options on the organize menu and on the view tab adjust the settings.
