Greetings all.
I have an ASUS WS revolution board...running a mild overclock (160 @ 3.5ghz). I noticed that, when waking from sleep, cpu-z would report a change in my CAS latency from 8, which was the manual setting, to 4. After this happened, my system would become unstable. So I RMAd the board back to ASUS...they sent me a brand new one. This one will not post at all with RAM running @ 1600. It actually won't post with the same settings as its predecessor. And I have tried two different kits (one Patriot, and one Corsair). Additionally, the wake from sleep CAS latency change to 4 remains, also with both kits of memory. Everest backs this up.
Is this something that could possibly be caused by a vista 64 glitch? It seems unlikely, so I want to ask. Because I am not too fond about the other alternative...namely, that I got a board that, though brand new, is still busted somehow.
Thanks.
