Help,please, mouse gets stuck

Hello for all of you, I came here whith quita big problem .
Today I tried to reduce mine CPU usage by changing the apearance of vista , I clicked the " For best performance " button , all options were turned off, it seemed everythings ok , but sudenlly mine mouse started to act crazy , it stucks randomly , 1 - 2 time in a minute or two, for 5 seconds , cant do anything, then the refresh near mouse pointer appears and it works again, I mean thats really annoying , so I tried to bring back ,mine old configuration, "Let vista choose.." , nothing its still stucks randomly , the weirdest thing is that mine mouse seems to be ok, and it started to act like that after that coniguration change + while mine mouse is stuck , touchpad works just incase , if it may help.

I think the problems may be coincidental and not causal. I don't think you changing your settings had any effect on your mouse's performance. I think you may need to just uninstall and reinstall your mouse's driver or check the cord/plug. Also make sure you are using a clean surface and consider cleaning your mouse's sensors (ball's spindle and optical's lens).
