I recently restored some folders to the desktop of my PC from my Acronis backup archive. Amongst these I also inadvertently restored some Windows system folders that I did not require. I tried to delete these using all the usual methods, including disabling UAC, without success. I then resorted to a method that had been previously successful - Cyberscrub Privacy Suite. This appeared to delete the folders but after rebooting the PC they reappeared on my desktop with different folder names that were apparently randomly generated e.g. VGO.CQA (the individual system files within the folders remain unchanged though). When I tried to delete these with Cyberscrub again the same thing happened again - except that the random folder numbers changed. When I try to delete the folders manually I get the 'This folder is shared with other people' and 'Destination Folder Access is denied' messages. If I right click on the folders and go Properties > Security, no category of user has 'Full Control' and it is impossible to change this as the Edit options are all greyed out (even with Administrator rights / UAC disabled). Cyberscrub support haven't been much use so can anyone else help, please? I'm running Vista x64 Ultimate SP3.
