Solved Cant extend main partition back...

Ok so here is my problem. I partitioned my c drive to make room for a test windows 7 install. well apparently my DVD burner hates me, so i never got the chance to try it out. The partition is 30GB. Now it says free space. but i cant extend my main partition back to it was. It says it's an extended partition. Do i have to make it primary to extend the c drive? And if so, how would i go about that? It also asked me, when not a drive, if i wanted to delete the partition... Would that make it primary? It says the partition will become inaccesible if you delete it...

Hello Spencer, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You cannot extend C: back into yet since it Free Space partition is still an extended partition. You will just need to delete it one more time for it to become a unallocated partition, and then be able to extend C: back into it.

ok thanks. i figured as much, but the warning scared me and i thought i was gonna lose 30gb, and then i was like, um thats pretty much impossible... lol but thankyou. very helful. is there a rep system here?
