Solved Why does shortcut icon have WinSecurity shield?

So I've had to replace my computer and am just getting acquainted Vista...

I'm running Vista Home Premium x64.

I loaded a program (Corel Painter IX) and placed a shortcut on my desktop... Windows has seen fit to place a little "Windows Security shield" over the icon. When I look at the shortcut's properties, the icon appears without the shield.

Why has it done this, and how can I address it?

A superficial question, but I'm dipping my toe in and getting started easy.

Any help greatly appreciated.

This is just to indicate that the shortcut will need you to approve running it first with UAC (User Account Control). :)
