I am trying to open mountvol.exe located in C:\Windows\System32 and it just flashes the command prompt screen for a second. Then I opened properties security tab access denied. I tried to change access and get message error something about registry value wrong. What brought this about is I have alot of files that are empty and did a google search and it took me to mounted drives and volumes. If anyone could explain what a mounted device is how do they get mounted and can you read your files on a mounted device or does it have to be unmounted
