Write to disk problem

:confused: Hi, I have been trying to write to a CD. I have a Toshiba Laptop with Vista. I insert a new disk, but nothing happens. The Control Panel says the drive is O.K. Can someone tell me what I can do the check the drive? It works in opening programs and files.

If your just using default windows disk burner. I would try a 3rd party alternative.

ImgBurn is an awesome freeware disk burner.

Edit: Also check the device manager, under DVD/CD roms whats the name/model/brand of the drive?
