Can Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade DVD do fresh install of an existing version?

Hi,

My Acer Laptop had pre-loaded Windows Vista Home Premium and I also received Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade DVD along with it.

I need to format an existing version and want to do a clean / fresh installation of the same version (Windows Vista Home Premium) of the OS.
Can I do that with this DVD?
Do this DVD have all the required installation files to do a fresh and complete OS install?
Can someone guide me on how can I do that?
I have been looking around online to find some information, but didn't get a clear idea. Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Vishal

P.S: I dont want to upgrade the OS

I think that laptops with no OS DVD have a "recovery partition" that allows you to restore your laptop to the state that was supplied by your dealer. (The dealer's applications will be restored, but anything that you installed will not be available.)

A quick google shows that Anytime Upgrade costs $160, and Vista HP costs $260. I don't think Bill will give you all the files for $100 less :)

BTW: My first WinXP was an upgrade from Win98. When my OS became corrupt, I had to (a) re-install Win98, and (b) re-install the WinXP upgrade. In other words, you must follow the same chain :(

Contact Acer for info.
