I am having trouble emailing photos selected from Photo Gallery. I do the steps. 1) open photo gallery 2) select picture 3) hit e-mail 4) Message says "preparing photos" then nothing happens. Any help appreciated.

Having the same trouble - Windows photo gallery, select a scanned document or picture, click e-mail, click attach in the dialog box - it then appears to compress photo or scanned document and then nothing happens. It used to open an e-mail in Microsoft Outlook and attach the scanned document or photograph. I have reset twice Microsoft outlook as my default program but still nothing happens. I have tried opening outlook first but if i go through outlook and explorer to find the scanned document it attaches it as a huge 80 MB file.

You could use Picasa Picasa 3: Free download from Google it should work with Outlook as your default e-mail.
