Documents and Settings folder permissions

Anything special about setting permissions and shares on the Documents and Settings folder? Everytime I try to access it or change its permissions I get an access denied message. Tried it with the hidden Admin ID with same results. Vista Home Premium SP2

Thank you for the reply. It describes my problem exactly but there is no solution. I should of googled it first instead of just searching this forum. The fact the folder is a junction point is cleverly hidden with the access denied msg you get when you try to alter permissions or open it.
