When I was leaving my house earlier i had to shut down my laptop fast to get it in my bag because it was already getting hot from sitting on my bed. When I turned my Laptop back on at my friends house and tried to back-up my iPhone it game me all kinds of errors. Then I tried to run chkdsk c: /f from CMD Prompt and it gave me the usual "can't run because it is locked...." i tried to schedule it for next reboot. I rebooted my computer but to my supprise it didnt run chkdsk it just went straight on to Vista like normal. I then downloaded a Recovery Console Only CD and tried running chkdsk from that and it ran through the file part very fast almost too fast for me but then when it goes to the indexing part (2 of 3) it got to arround 58% then jus went to the entry part of CMD Prompt (X:\Sources>). I tried again and it got to 62% and said it was removing files then just opened up the entry part again. (X:\Sources>). I have also tried running SeaTools but it takes forever just to do the Short Disk Self Test so it hasnt finished yet.
Vista still boots up but there are a bunch of errors about temp files when I close programs and Windows Mail spits errors at me.
Please help i have 30GB of music that I don't have backed up anywhere else.
