I can't seem to download anymore to my computer

Hi,

I just had a quick question.

ok, so when I try to download anything to my computer, I get this message:

C:\Users\Craft\App Data\Local\Temp

and it also says that it could not be saved because you (me) cannot change the contents. (I am the admin on my computer, so why can't change it?)

So what do I do?

(P.S.) I also want to know what program can permanently get rid of programs after I already uninstalled them, because they seem to be leaving a trail behind on my computer and I think that is what is causing this message.Also, If you can tell me what program there is for windows vista home premium SP2 64-bit please.

Hello David,

It may be a permission issue. See if you can after taking ownership of the C:\Users\Craft\App Data\Local\Temp folder.

If not, then as a test, create a new administrator account to see if you can while logged on to it.

But what about a program that can permanently delete software off of my pc? Do you know of any? Also, a program that can permanently delete any traces of visited websites that someone has been to? do you know any good program for that?

CCleaner is a good program for doing this. However, you should also be able to uninstall programs from Programs and Features.

yes, I can uninstall using my uninstaller, but I seem to have trouble with the programs leaving a trail behind. but anyways, I fixed it. I just created a new user with admin account. everything is fine now.

ok so my question is; how do I boot windows vista onto a windows xp pro using a flash drive?

I want to put my vista that I'm using now along with all my programs onto a flash drive (usb drive) then go to a windows xp pro computer and use the bios setting to make the computer(xp pro computer) boot from the flash drive and be able to run windows vista off of my flash drive with out installing or portioning windows vista on the xp pro computer. If you can, please give me some step by step instructions on how to do this or another website that has step by step instructions or a link to some where with step by step instructions. Please help A.S.A.P. I would like to have all this done by tonight at about 9:00-9:30pm tonight so I can use it tomorrow morning.

As far as I know you cannot install Vista or XP on an external drive.

oh? well I've seen videos on how to put vista on a flash drive, but I need simpler instructions. but that's ok, Shawn, thanks for trying.

Would it be illegal or against the law for me to put vista on a flash drive and try to run it on a xp computer? Or is it because it depends on the computer?

You can easily make a Vista installation flash drive to use to install Vista with.

Since so much of Vista, or any OS, depends on the computer hardware drivers, I do not see how Vista could run from a portable drive from computer to computer if it was possible.
