My PC gets BLACK SCREEN after unattended wake up from sleep mode

Hello all,

I've scheduled my PC to wake up at a certain time with vista's task scheduler, and when it wakes up, I always see black screen on my monitor instead of desktop.

If I move my mouse or type any key during a black screen, it turns back to desktop.

I've searched around the net, but I couldn't find a solution...so I've decided to ask.
I really need help on this one.

Does anyone have any solution for this?

have you looked in your power settings to see if you have the display set to turn off.

that could cause it.

I did check that the auto display off and a screen saver are disabled.
The power scheme is set to high perfomance.

I wonder what is causing this issue...

go through all your power setting for high performance aka modify it and check all the settings.

also is it a laptop or desktop? my wifes laptop does the same thing but it is not setup with sleep mode and all that. sometimes when you flip it open the screen is black until you move the mouse.
