Solved Favorites Missing in IE

My favorites folder went missing two days ago. I see it under users but not in IE. I get an error message - Users\favorites refers to a file that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this network or on this computer.

Since I see it, any pages I want to book mark now can't be done.
Help me try and retrieve it! I've tried numberous suggestions found on here but nothing has worked.

Anyone, even non-members, should be able to download the files. Besides, your account is showing as activated.

When you click on the download button, does it give you the Save option?

If all else fails, you can manually check to see if you have %USERPROFILE%\Favorites (right pane) as the location for the Favorites (left pane) folder in the registry.

Yah, not sure what's wrong with the download because I can't save it. It opens the page that says my user name but that I'm not active.
Anyhow, I tried manually. Under user shell folder, everything is listed as %public%...but the favorites is missing. I would have assumed I would see %userprofile%\music ect but its all public.

Strange. Could you post a screenshot of this registry location with all of the right pane included in it?

See if you can download the Favorites download in a ZIP file from here instead.
