WOOHOO! Just built my new system (Tuesday).
-New parts-
Phenom II X4 810 2.6 GHz AM3 (OC'd to 2.9-being conservative here) Running stable at idle 33 C
8 GB OCZ Gold DDR3 1333 MHz
Jetway HA08-LF AM3 board
Sapphire Radeon 4850 HD
-Old parts-
M-Audio Audiophile 2496
2 X Western Digital Green 1 TB
2 X Western Digital Blue 500 GB
2 x LG DVDR/CD drives
BFG 650 watt PSU
Up from Opteron 185 2.6 GHz/4 GB system I built in 2007
A very satisfactory build. First time I have ever thrown one together and had it started on the first try. Usually it's a pain.
Should be good for another 2 years.
Oh yeah...
Vista experience 5.6 (limited by the HD's...everything else 5.9)
Win7 Experience 5.9 (ditto)
Processor 7.2
Memory 7.9
Graphics 6.5
3D Graphics 6.5
Hard Drive 5.9
Price for new parts was ~ $540 Not too shabby.
