Solved Deleting Windows Stock Wallpaper

Hey, I'm wondering if it's ok to Delete any of the stock wallpapers that were included in Vista? I've found one of the folders which has a few that I have no use of, but still haven't located the other folder. I think there's at least 2, maybe? I'm thinking about downloading some new wallpapers and wanted to clear out some extra space. Also, when I get new wallpapers, can I add them directly to the Windows Wallpaper folder?

Hello Beginner64,

Yes, it's fine to delete the image files if you like. You can run a sfc/ scannow command if you ever wanted to restore them at anytime. I have found them at these two locations:

C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper

and

C:\Users\Public\Public Pictures\Sample Pictures

I would Just download the windows 7 wallpapers and put in the folder to replace the vista ones.(the 7 ones look better and there is more of them)
