Six days of nothing but headache. I ordered Windows Vista Ultimate 64 for the sole purpose of going beyond 3gb of ram. When I tried to instal I got a NTLDR missing message. So I go out and purchase a bran new hard drive "Seagate baracuda 500gb" I have only my DVD drive (for booting vista dvd instal) and the bran new HD hooked up with 2gb of ram.
I shut down the pc, Boot from Dvd and I get a black screen with "Windows is loading files...." at the bottom with a White progresion bar. After the progresion bar is done the system reboots and loops back to do the same thing in a never ending process.
MS will not help me because it's an OEM I purchased from Tigerdirect.com and tigerdirect offers little to nothing.
Anybody that can help me out would be my hero right about now.
