Windows movie maker is messing up!?!

Help I have a media project due on Monday, and Windows movie maker is messing up my videos I have made.

I have a kodak zi6, this records in hd .mov ~ search on google to find loads of info about it.

then I converted with wondershare Video converter platinum, which I obtained through GAOTD! and it works great!

I convert my zi6 videos to .avi with hd standards using wondershare video converter.

Then after done converting i open up windows movie maker, Import my video put it on the timeline, and then split it where I need it split, and it messes up the second half of the video, and first part of video is fine!

Help me I really need help!

Please suggest something on how to fix this or do something else.

Thanks in advance, Remeber I need help on this before MONDAY, and I'm sunk right now.

By the way I have other .avi, a video from a tv show, and it works fine, even when I split it...
