Solved Is it normal to have 2 instances of iexplore.exe in task manager running?
both are located in program files-internet explorer. one is ausing about 81,576 k and that one is 624 kb in size. The other one uses around 9,100 k of memory and is 624 kb in size. Is there a problem here?

I just opened IE 8 and it appears that as soon as I do, there are 2 iexplore.exe services indeed. this does not seem normal to me but it could be something new for IE 8
I am sure the IE 8 Gurus will chime in soon.

Guys, this is perfectly normal. It's for the Automatic Crash Recovery/Tabs feature in IE8. Nothing to worry about.
